THE
NETHERLANDS AND BELGIUM 2006: Trip
Report |
|
The 'apartment' was in a former hunting
lodge built in 1911 and set in a nature reserve
of some 190 hectares. The apartment was situated in
one wing of the house, probably originally the servants'
quarters.

The owners
are both artists. They had completely
renovated the lodge, including our apartment over a period
of twenty or so years and it was clearly a labor of love.
The husband spoke excellent English, and welcomed us like
old friends. The apartment was in excellent condition
and he showed us where everything was, and how everything
worked. The fridge contained a selection of drinks marked
at supermarket prices; the cheapest minibar in the world! |
