The cathedral at Orvieto is the most impressive that we found on our trip and deserves a page to itself.
Building started in 1290 and is distinguished by the mosaic and sculpture of the facade.
The inside is equally impressive. Because there were few tourists it retained the feel of a church, rather than being just a tourist attraction.
